We welcome parents and family members to participate in Parent and Family Orientation 鈥� an optional opportunity to learn more about 91传媒厂 and discover how you can support your student鈥檚 success. We offer tailored orientation programs for families of both first-year and transfer students.

While at orientation, you will learn and talk about: 

  • Information on class registration and paying bills
  • 91传媒厂 traditions and culture
  • Academic requirements
  • Housing & dining options
  • Health & wellness
  • University Police
  • 91传媒厂 policies & procedures

Who Should Attend

Parent & Family Orientation is designed for any parent, family member, or supporter a student wishes to have with them as they begin their transition to San Jos茅 State University. Most sessions allow up to two guests per student, and orientation fees for families apply.


How to Sign Up

If you are a parent, family member, or supporter who would like to attend orientation, please coordinate with your student to register.

All Parent & Family Orientation registrations must be completed through the student鈥檚, where they will add you as a guest during their sign-up process, prompting the payment authorization process.

For Spring Parent & Family Orientation, each full package (covers one guest for breakfast, lunch, swag bag, and programming) will be $80 and adding an additional guest (just meals and programming, no swag bag) will be $45.
