Disqualification, Reinstatement and Academic Notice

 

Disqualification

Undergraduate students on academic notice are subject to if their 91传媒厂 GPA for the Fall or Spring semester is below 2.0.

First-year students who have not raised their 91传媒厂 GPA to 2.0 or higher will remain on academic notice and will not be disqualified until they have either completed 30 units at 91传媒厂 or finished three semesters鈥攚hichever happens first.

Reinstatement

Reinstatement is the process for requesting the removal of academic disqualification status. Approval of reinstatement allows a student to enroll in classes again but does not guarantee readmission to 91传媒厂.

  • The reinstatement process is managed by the Registrar鈥檚 Office and requires a formal Reinstatement Petition.
  • Students should review the eligibility categories, required documentation, and signature process listed on the Registrar鈥檚 website.
  • You may request reinstatement even if you do not plan to return to 91传媒厂, for example, to transfer to another institution.

Readmission

is a different process from . Readmission is the process of being formally accepted back into 91传媒厂 as a matriculated student.

If you are a former student who left 91传媒厂 more than two semesters ago in either Good Academic Standing or on Academic Notice (formerly called Academic Probation), navigate to the Former Students Returning page on the Admissions website.

Academic Notice

Undergraduate students are placed on if at any time, their 91传媒厂 and/or cumulative GPA falls below 2.0. Students will remain on academic notice until they return to good academic standing (91传媒厂 cumulative GPA greater than or equal to 2.0) or are disqualified.

I am on Academic Notice - What Happens Next?

If you have been placed on academic notice from 91传媒厂, you will receive an email invitation to meet with an Student Success Center specialist or advisor to create a personalized academic success plan. Your advisor or specialist will also connect you to campus resources and provide you ongoing support.
