Financial, Food & Housing Resources

Scholarships
The Financial Aid and Scholarship Office administers three types of scholarships: 91´«Ã½³§ campus scholarships, Department scholarships, and
Private scholarships. Students should apply for as many scholarships as possible to lessen the need for loans or part-time work to attend school.

91´«Ã½³§ Cares - Spartan Food Pantry
The Spartan Food Pantry is a walk-in resource dedicated to helping fight food insecurity by providing nutritious groceries to currently enrolled students. This service ensures that every Spartan has access to the high-quality food necessary to maintain their health and stay focused on their academic goals.

91´«Ã½³§ Cares Basic Needs Support
If you are experiencing challenges with food, housing, or other basic needs, you are not alone and support is available through 91´«Ã½³§ Cares. All enrolled undergraduate and graduate students can connect with 91´«Ã½³§ Cares to explore available options and resources.

Black Student Resources

Black Scholars Community
An open community designed to provide leadership, guidance, mentorship, community and a space for those who are a part of or in support of the Black Community at San Jose State University.

TRIO (McNair} Scholars Program
The Federal TRIO Programs provide support services for individuals from marginalized backgrounds, including low-income students, first-generation college students, and individuals with disabilities. The goal is to increase access to higher education and promote academic success.

The Educational Opportunity Program (EOP)
Designed to improve student academic support of first-generation, limited-income, and educationally disadvantaged students. The program provides admission, academic, and financial assistance to EOP-eligible undergraduate students considered California residents or AB540 students.
